US film festival awards Iran’s ‘Short Wave’

Iranian short ‘Short Wave’ has managed to grab an award at the 15th edition of the Annual West Chester International Short Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Mohammad Esmaeeli, the film won the Best Experimental/Art Film at the festival.

The film is adapted from a story written by Gholam-Hossein Saedi. It tells the story of a man who is struggling with the annoying sound of his environment and shows his attempts to silence them.

Earlier this month, ‘Short Wave’ attended the Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival.

The Annual West Chester International Short Film Festival presents short films that are 30 minutes or less from around the world.

The 15th edition of the event took place in the US state of Pennsylvania on April 26-28, 2019.
